A visit to the house is a must for all Art Nouveau lovers, pictures are ok but there are no words to describe the beauty and elegance of this house, purchased in 1980 originally for a Herge Museum, the restoration took fifteen years.The basement which was originally the workshop is now opened up into a large gallery showing original Drawings and work by Paul and Lina Cauchie, after the First World War where Art Nouveau gave way to Art Deco Paul started painting again and a collection of his works are Exhibited (Collected by the owners over a period of time). Their devotion to this project is just amazing and must have have been so rewarding seeing the end results, I personally think they have done an amazing job for all Art Nouveau lovers to appreciate.
I would just like to say that the owners have privately funded this whole project, if you are planning a trip to brussels please take a visit to this fabulous house.
